Both males and females possess long, straight horns, which can reach up to 120 cm in length, making them one of the antelope’s most distinctive features.

Adapted to arid environments, Gemsbuck are found in South Africa’s semi-desert and savannah regions. They are predominantly grazers but can survive in harsh conditions with limited water, feeding on tough grasses and leaves. These antelopes are known for their endurance and can defend themselves effectively against predators with their formidable horns.
